IDC: China leads global wrist-worn shipments during Q1-Q3 period
The global wrist-worn device market (smartwatches and wristbands) reached 139 million shipments during the first three quarters of 2024 as per the latest IDC report. The January – September period brought a 1% decline in shipments, which was due to market saturation across key markets, including the United States and India. On the other hand, China was the leading market for wrist-worn wearables, with an estimated 45.8 million units: a 20% year-on-year increase.
