Well if you have sprint you need to sign up for a picture mail account then you can send pics. And for your internet you running Kaos rom or stock ?

The one from the htc website, or the one from the link I gave you in www.wckediden.com? After you flashed to get the radio updated and get past the whole boot screen dilema, did you flash again?

I only flashed the one time. Do I need to flash with the kaos rom now or something else? My phone shows an altell screen when it boots up now.

Well, you dont have to.....but you should want to. His roms are prolly the best out for your phone. So it is recommended:)

So should I use the kaos mogul take 3 Hybrid Enhanced or Kaos's Mogul Hybrid Take 5 rom for my phone? Like I said, I don't want to mess it up all over. Once was enough. lol

Just go to the ROM release(supported) section and review the features in each ROM. Its really a personal choice:)

Hey guys I have been searching and reading this thread and just want to make sure I get this right. Have two Friends who have the HTC 6800 in North Carolina and their provider is US CELLULAR. They have WM 6.0 and want to update. I want to help them so, what is the easiest way? They want stable and GPS so I figure they need WM 6.1. I downloaded

you would have to have the phone unlocked using the hardslp that you would for custom roms..... than you would want to use the uscellular dcd carrier cab. you could look for the uscellular version on htc.com if one was ever released it will be there.... but i would rather see you go with a custom orm for them sicne they want stability, speed, and great gps signal........... you canfind the tutorial for all of the above mentioned below in my signature wehre it says click here to learn how to flash roms.

I looked at your tutorial it mentions all kinds of carriers but not US Cel. That was what made me wary. According to your tutorial all i have to do is find a Custom US Cel ROM and
to flash a custom rom from a stock rom

the roms here dont have the carrier junk installed so it can be ran with any provider.... you will jsut need to run the dcd carrier cab for your provider...... jut follow the same steps and if you want to flash the stock one than follow the steps for flashing the stock one....

no you dont and as stated above they will work fine on your phone.... by the way nice choice on the kaso rom :> they were always my favorites on the 6800.

what are you talking about we have it here.... search carrier cabs and you will findand all the programs work with yours besides ones from other carriers..... you still have thousands upon thousands too choose from.

Ok. I also have U.S. Cellular and an HTC PPC 6800. I tried to upgrade to 6.1 like the post earlier said to. I used the link provided to the HTC site. I tried to install the stock rom, but it said "invalid carrier" and then it cancelled the update. I didn't upgrade the radio, as I am confused. Where do I get the RUU to put that radio file in? I got the radio file from this thread as well, but I just don't get it. I got the RUU.exe from the HTC site (stock rom) and the radio file. Do I somehow install the radio first, then the stock rom? Then I can go custom? I already have the rom I want installed, it's the R4R reloaded (with manilla 2d). It's in a .zip folder that has a RUU folder inside.

the stock rom will update if you are using your providers. the only reason it would say that it wasnt the correct provider is if you were flashing a custom rom or another providers rom to your phone without relocking first... if you have it unlocked you will be fine and the flash will work without troubles.

I don't know if I should've made a new thread for this or not, but I have a US Cellular ppc 6800, and I want to go back to the stock settings. I installed r4r kitchen, and used the dcd carrier cab. But I cannot connect to the internet and my phone is running very slow. I also cannot make or recieve calls. It's not working right, and I would like to go back to the stock rom. I can't find anything about this...Please help

Go here and fill in the blanks. It should then let you download your latest stock rom

Why do you want to go back to stock anyway? The only real reason to go to stock is if your going to return the phone. We have a bunch of ROMs here you can try to see what you like. Try our "ROM SUPPORTED" section. We got a nice ass selection.

Because I have US Cellular, and none of these will allow my internet to work...As far as i know anyway. I took suggestions without anyone else confirming it works, and now i'm in this position. Unless someone has flashed a custom rom to a us cellular ppc 6800 and everything works, then I will install that specific rom. you have to relock your device... the error your getting shouldnt happen especiually with stock...... htc will have the rom upgrade on their site or uscellular would too..... you could also bring it in and ask if they can flash it to the newest custom rom and they shoudl do it for free in store.

Hmmm, so I'm browsing HTC website, and it doesn't seem like HTC released a 6.1 upgrade to the 6.1. There isn't a software download option like there is for other phones. Check out the link below, unless I'm missing something.

I don't think there is a us cellular stock rom on the htc website or anywhere I've been looking for a few days now...
my reason for looking is to convert an old xv6800 to us cellular...and I was wondering if anyone has a radio for US cellular and or the following?

PRL (it doesn't have to be hacked as long as it was from a us cellular rom)
Radio (need that too)
DMU keys

I'm not sure on the DMU keys. Perhaps there are a public set of keys like verizon has but I haven't found it yet

Would anyone have this?
